Cookies for Japan Part 2

Now that we are finished we thought you would like to have a report of how our service project went:). Thank you so much to all of you who ordered cookies and made this possible for my girls. They took lots of orders and were very excited to go way over their goal of $20. (They even jumped up and down a few times when they realized how much you were all giving them). After all of your orders they made $170 and were very excited when I went to the bank with all of the checks and money and asked the teller if I could get all of the money in one dollar bills! We thought it would be fun for them to SEE how much money they had made...and they were SHOCKED! As we were counting it out they said with big smiles on their faces "wow I can't believe how much money we get to give the people in Japan".
They were so cute and they worked really hard baking and baking and baking the 27 DOZEN cookies! By the end they were getting a little bit worn out but as we drove around and delivered the cookies all of the excitement came back. Then when we took the rest of the cookies to the Ronald McDonald house they got the "it feels so good to serve" feeling all over again. The girls really liked this part and smiled from ear to ear when the lady told them that they had 20 families staying with them and that the cookies would make they all smile and feel better. I can't thank you enough for all of the support you gave us, it was a really good experience and we were happy to be able to have a chance to serve. Below is a letter from the girls and then a bunch of pictures of the project! Thanks again!

Dear family and friends,

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the money that you gave us to help the people in Japan. We got $170 and gave it to the Bishop today (to give to the Humanitarian Aid Fund). We had fun making your cookies. We hope you like them. For all of you who didn't get cookies we gave them to the Ronald McDonald house. 20 families are staying at there. They were happy to get so many cookies. We felt happy when we served. We love SERVING! Thank you again for all of your help.
Love, A and L
